Proper formal language is to be used without any unparliamentary words in their speech. Questions will be asked by the moderator, other panelists as well as the teacher present based on their speech.

PRE — EVENT SELECTION ROUND —
Will be held 15 days before the event. After registrations students will be called for the selection round in which they’ll be given a topic (not the same as the one that will be given for the event) and they will have one day to research on it and prepare a 5 minutes speech on it including their views on the topic and enough pointers to support their view.
On the basis of their speaking skills and research 5 participants from each category will be selected.
EVENT DAY –
The event will start with a brief introduction about the topic by the moderator.
  • INTRODUCTORY SPEECH – all the panelists (participants) will give a one minute long speech about their views on the topic.
  • QnA ROUND – the panelists, the moderator or the teacher present can question the panelists on the basis of what they said in their introductory speech and the panelist in question is bound to answer.
  • GUIDED DISCUSSION – the moderator will ask the already prepared questions to the panelists and the panelists can answer, discuss amongst themselves and cross question each other. If the moderator or the teacher present has a question then the panelist HAS to answer their question.
  • CLOSING REFLECTION BY PANELISTS – the panelists will give a closing speech which will be mainly based on what they concluded from the discussion. The panelists will also submit their paperwork which will contain the main arguments that they used during their speech as well the questions they asked and their conclusion of the debate (everything in pointers).
